Diesel Mechanic Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. 
  • In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure maximum reliability and safety.
  • The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of diesel engine systems, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics: Use advanced diagnostic software and traditional methods to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and brake adjustments.
  • Repairs: Overhaul or replace engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, suspensions, and braking systems (including air brakes).
  • System Testing: Conduct test drives and use specialized equipment to verify that repairs are completed to OEM standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service work, parts used, and labor hours in our digital tracking system.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in troubleshooting fuel injection systems, exhaust after-treatment (DEF/DPF), and electrical schematics.
  • Tools: Possession of a personal set of basic mechanical tools.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
